Chanley Wong is from the small town of Benoni and likes to refer to herself as a "mix-masala" seeing as she is mixed race. She is a Television Presenter, who's journey on television started in 2013. She was able to get a presenting gig on ETV show's Sistahood, Frenzy and Craze World Live after they held a nationwide auditioning process. During her first year on television she also completed her degree, a BA in Strategic Communications, at The University of Johannesburg.

Chanley received "The Best Youth Role Model" award in 2014 at the SAFU Awards, an award ceremony voted for by the East Rand. In 2016, Chanley then went on to being nominated for two consecutive years (2016 and 2017) at the SAFTAs (South African Film and Television Awards) under the “Best Television Presenter” category. She is the youngest individual to ever be nominated for a SAFTA where she had to fight it out amongst the best veterans in the television industry.
